"Absolutely wonderful house where the attention to details was exquisite. Idyllic location to visit the medieval Portugal. Piece of paradise on the edge of a lake. All the mod con you can wish for. Accurate description, clean and we'll maintained and perfect customer service make it a holiday house that I will certainly recommend to my friends. You can rent boats to go round the lake or 4x4 to climb on top of the local hills to view fantastic sceneries... So much to see all around that one week isn't enough. We will come back. "We had a wonderful holiday here. Dornes is a tiny little village on the River Zezere, the villa sits above the river so wherever you are in the house you have beautiful views. The tranquility and peace are almost tangible and the garden created by the owner is simply beautiful, withe so many cleverly created places to sit and enjoy your surroundings. The house itself is very comfortable. We were welcomed by a local caretaker who was very helpful and friendly. He gave us lots of tips for eating out, supermarkets, etc. The house itself is equipped very well, home from home in fact! Just delightful. The location of the villa made travelling around ss easy and we had a number of fabulous days out exploring the area."

"We went with a group of seven and all of us absolutely loved our stay.

The information regarding facilities was spot on. We were greeted by Frans, an incredibly kind man who gave us a tour of the house and told us about the local area. The villa was well furnished, comfortable bedrooms and a lovely kitchen with a large table around which we could all sit and play games. The river, with a little beach, in which we swam daily was only a 1 minute walk away. And the villa has a lovely garden with two seperate places to sit and enjoy the view.

Would recommend it to anyone!"

"What a magical space. So beautiful, the photos don't do it justice as it is far better. Immaculately clean with views from every window and angle. Check in and out went smoothly. This location is off the beaten path but that allowed us a lovely three hours walk in to the forest directly from our front door. The masseuse whose brochure we found in the house was brilliant. The house was very well equipped and everything worked well. I can see how this is year round destination of choice."

"My husband and I stayed in this house for 16 nights in August, it was absolutely wonderful, very clean, well equipped everything you need, lots of light,all rooms double aspect at least. Was met by the property manager Emma who was very helpful, and very quick to reply to any questions we had I am in the same business so its always interesting to compare service etc, but couldn't fault anything Enjoyed buying bread and cakes from the local lady who called at the village most mornings. My husband took a kayak on the lake most days only a few steps from the house and only 5 euros for an hour, he had the lake to himself most of the time even in August Tried lots of restaurants within an easy drive of the house, all fantastic quality and extremely good value Can highly recommend this property Liz has done a fantastic job restoring this house and has done it to an extremely high standard Thanks for a wonderful trip Liz & Emma"
